Before we look back on the past year – a note on our own behalf: Erste Asset Management’s investment blog was awarded “Best Financial Blog Corporate” in the DACH region for the fourth time in a row.

Every year, the VBV Smeil Alps Award selects the best financial blogs in the German-speaking region. This is sponsored by VBV-Vorsorgekasse. Smeil stands for: Stockmarket Media Entrepreneur Internet Leadership. A total of 180 finance blogs were nominated for the award this year.


The year 2022 was marked by crises – the war in Ukraine, increased inflation and the energy crisis. This extraordinary situation has made itself felt on the capital market. These issues were also reported on our investment blog. The statistics for the year 2022 reflect that posts on the war in Ukraine and financial literacy in particular were read most frequently by our readers.
